Experience Historic Charm
Stay at Oona's Cottage, a beautifully restored home in the heart of County Antrim.
Welcome to Oona's Cottage
Discover our historic Grade 2 listed clachan (a traditional cluster of farm buildings and cottages) with Sam's thatched cottage at it's heart, fully restored in 2024. The restoration is featured in The Royal Institute of the Architects of Ireland magazine (https://www.riai.ie/discover-architecture/riai-publications/house-plus-design-issue-10 pages 76-83) and covered in a BBC television programme (https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/m002jx50/restoration-rescue-series-2-1-ballymena-cottage) - you may have to be in the UK or use a VPN to view this. It has also been shortlisted by the Royal Society of Ulster Architects (https://rsua.org.uk/project-shortlist-announced-for-new-all-ulster-architecture-awards/). Oona's Cottage, also restored in 2024, is the only rental property in the clachan (the remainder is a single private home) and offers a cosy and private stay with modern amenities, nestled in the beautiful countryside of County Antrim, close to Northern Ireland's attractions.
